TSN and RDS Announce Broadcast Schedules for the 2023 MLS Regular Season
NEW YORK (Friday, February 17, 2023) – Major League Soccer today announced the broadcast schedules for linear partners TSN and RDS in Canada, which is highlighted by a comprehensive slate of regular season matches involving the three Canadian-based MLS clubs – CF Montréal, Toronto FC, and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. TSN will air all respective matches in English, with RDS match broadcasts airing in French. TSN will also air selected matches featuring U.S.-based MLS clubs throughout the 2023 season. Those matches will be announced at a later date.
With at least one match per week featuring a Canadian club, TSN and RDS will provide viewers with a consistent and accessible slate of matches.
The TSN and RDS schedule kicks off with MLS is Back, as all three Canadian clubs are in action on Saturday, February 25. In the early-evening window, Toronto FC will travel to face D.C. United at Audi Field (7:30 p.m. ET, TSN), while CF Montréal will take on Inter Miami CF at DRV PNK Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET, TSN, RDS). Vancouver welcomes Real Salt Lake to BC Place at 10:30 p.m. ET (TSN, RDS2) to close out the opening day of the MLS season.
Eight MLS Cup Playoffs matches and MLS Cup will be broadcast on the Bell Media sports networks in 2023. Additionally, TSN and RDS will be the linear broadcast home in Canada for select Leagues Cup matches – the monumental new chapter for North American soccer beginning in 2023. Twelve Group Stage matches and four Round of 32 matches will air on TSN, with three Group Stage and four Round of 32 matches airing on RDS.
TSN and Major League Soccer have partnered to broadcast MLS games since the 2011 season. RDS was previously a league partner from 2011 to 2017.
