Running back Jon Cornish will not be in the lineup when the Calgary Stampeders host the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday.
Cornish did not practice all week due to leg soreness with head coach John Hufnagel saying he's been given the week off to get right.
"It's that type of season for him," said Hufnagel.
Cornish leads the league in rushing with 977 yards, despite playing in just eight games this season.
In other roster news, veteran receiver Chris Bauman was added to the practice roster and was on the field while defensive lineman Quinton Spears was released.
This is the second stint with the Stampeders for Bauman, who spent two seasons with Calgary after playing four seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and one with the Edmonton Eskimos.
