The Calgary Stampeders have signed international defensive lineman Ja'Gared Davis.

Davis signed as an undrafted free agent with the National Football League's Houston Texans on Apr. 27, 2013. He has spent time on the practice roster for the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins.

Davis played four seasons (2009-12) at SMU and was named first-team all-Conference USA at linebacker on two occasions and second-team all-conference once. During his career with the Mustangs, he had 301 total tackles, including 41 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
