Dallas Stars goalie Ben Bishop left Monday's game against the Ottawa Senators early after teammate Dan Hamhuis fell on his leg.

The incident happened in the first period and Bishop stayed in the game but was replaced by backup Kari Lehtonen to start the second period.

Stars head coach Ken Hitchcock said after his team's 3-2 overtime loss Bishop would miss at least the team's next two games.

"With Ben, we’re probably going to need a couple of days to figure out time frame on it so for sure. He’s not going to play tomorrow and Friday and then let’s just see from there," Hitchcock told the Dallas Morning News.

Bishop has been solid in his first season with the Stars this year, recording a 26-17-4 record with a .916 save percentage and 2.51 goals against average in 50 games. He stopped all 12 shots he faced before exiting against the Senators

Lehtonen meanwhile, has been good as well this year. The backup has a 11-6-1 record with a .919 save percentage and 2.29 goals against average in 22 games. He allowed three goals on 18 shots on Monday night.

The Stars recalled goaltender Mike McKenna from the AHL's Texas Stars on Monday morning.
