The Montreal Alouettes will be without the services of running back Tyrell Sutton when they host the Edmonton Eskimos on Monday.

Sutton is sidelined with a rib injury and Brandon Rutley has been taken off the 6-game injured list to take his spot in the starting lineup.

In seven games this season, Sutton has carried the ball 74 times for 412 yards with 27 receptions for 206 yards. Rutley has also appeared in seven games this season, rushing 60 times for 265 yards as well as catching 25 passes for 256 yards. He has three touchdowns on the season.

The Alouettes need a win against the Eskimos to give their playoff hopes a boost. The Alouettes trail the Hamilton Tiger-Cats by four points for second place in the East. They are also six points behind the Eskimos, the team they would have to catch to avoid losing a playoff spot to the cross-over rule.
