One week after falling to eventual winner Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals at Indian Wells, Felix Auger-Aliassime looks to build on his momentum at the Miami Open, which begins Wednesday on TSN.

Watch the first round of the Miami Open LIVE on Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET/ 8 a.m. PT on TSN4, TSN+ and TSN.ca.

Auger-Aliassime enters as the No. 5 seed in the men’s draw and will face the winner of the first-round match between Brazil’s Thiago Monteiro and Australia’s Jason Kubler. The Montreal native has reached the quarter-final in six consecutive Masters 1000 events dating back to last season and looks to continue his solid play this week in Miami.

Shapovalov is the 24th seed in the men’s draw and also has a bye to the round of 64. He will face the winner of the first-round match between Argentina’s Guido Pella and Peru’s Juan Pablo Varillas. The Richmond Hill, Ont., native looks to turn his season around, as he has lost five of his past six singles matches.

Following a tough second-round loss to world No. 1 Iga Swiatek at Indian Wells, Andreescu will face 2021 US Open winner Emma Raducanu in the first round in Miami. Andreescu won the only matchup between the two last May. The Mississauga native faces a tough draw if she defeats Raducanu, as world No. 7 Maria Sakkari awaits the winner of the match.

Fernandez will face qualifier Lesia Tsurenko in the first round with a match against No. 9 Belinda Bencic on deck if she wins the first-round clash. The 20-year-old is coming off a second-round loss at Indian Wells to No. 5 Caroline Garcia.

Andreescu and Fernandez are in the same quarter of the draw and would play each other in the round of 16.

Marino opened her tournament on Tuesday with a 7-6 (4), 6-2 win over Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan. She will face No. 6 Coco Gauff in the next round.
