TORONTO - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Toronto FC midfielder Collen Warner and Montreal defender Victor Cabrera for violent play in last weekend's meeting in Toronto.

Warner was suspended for two games and fined for violent conduct after hacking down Dominic Oduro in Toronto's 2-1 win at BMO Field last Saturday.

Oduro had just dribbled past a prone Benoit Cheyrou, prompting Warner — seemingly upset that the referee had not stopped play to allow treatment for his injured colleague — to take him down in no short order. Warner was yellow-carded on the play.

Cabrera, meanwhile, was suspended for one game and fined for a sliding tackle from behind on Jozy Altidore in the same match. The disciplinary committee called it serious foul play that could have endangered the safety of an opponent.

Cabrera was issued a yellow for the play.

In other disciplinary action, L.A. defender Leonardo was fined for failing to leave the field in a timely/orderly matter after receiving a red card in the Galaxy's game against San Jose.

Chicago Fire midfielder Matt Polster was fined for his actions involving a fan in a game against Orlando.

And Philadelphia midfielder Cristian Maidana's three-game suspension for spitting in a game against New England was reduced to two games.

Maidana was red-carded on the play and then handed a two-game additional suspension. That ban was reduced by a game following an appeal through the MLS Players Union. Maidana was also fined.

MLS does not disclose the amount of its fines.
