One of the best basketball players in the Philippines, Kiefer Ravena, is signing with Jordan Brand and becomes their first Filipino athlete in doing so.
Ravena, who currently plays for the Philippine Basketball Association's NLEX Road Warriors, had a G-League tryout with the Texas Legends in 2016. He went second overall in the 2017 PBA Draft and has established himself as an All-Star in the Philippines, where basketball is one of the country’s most popular sports.
“I feel like I’ve been welcomed with open arms [by Jordan Brand]. I still can’t believe it,” said Ravena in an interview.
Jordan Brand currently sponsors over 30 players across the NBA and WNBA, including Zion Williamson, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and Kia Nurse. Ravena becomes the brand’s second international athlete, joining Chinese basketball player Guo Ailun.
