Canadians Corey Conners, Taylor Pendrith and Adam Hadwin are all looking to advance to next week's season-ending Tour Championship as the FedEx Cup Playoffs rolls on with the BMW Championship from Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado.

The BMW Championship features a 50-player field, which will be cut down to the top-30 in the FedEx Cup standings following the tournament. That field will then compete at the Tour Championship with $25 million on the line for the first-place finisher.

The Canadians are also looking to catch the eye of Mike Weir, who is serving as the Team International captain for the upcoming Presidents Cup, running from Royal Montreal Golf Club at the end of September. The 12-player team will feature six automatic qualifiers via the Official World Golf Ranking standings after the completion of the BMW Championship and six captain picks, announced following the Tour Championship. The Presidents Cup sees golfers from the rest of the world, excluding Europe, taking on a team from the United States.

Take a look back at what Conners, Pendrith and Hadwin accomplished during the second round of the BMW Championship. There are no cuts at this event following the first two rounds.

Current Leader: Adam Scott (13-under, shot 9-under on Friday) - FULL LEADERBOARD

Corey Conners (Listowel, Ont.)

Corey Conners

Corey Conners' second round at the BMW Championship was interesting to say the least. Coming into the day sitting a 4-under, Conners began his day with bogeys on two of the first three holes before getting it right back with an eagle on the par-4 fifth hole. A bogey on No. 6 was followed by three straight birdies to finish the front nine at 2-under. The back nine was far less inconsistent for Conners as the 32-year-old made par on every hole. Conners is 6-under for the tournament, seven strokes behind leader Adam Scott, who shot a 9-under 63 on Friday. Conners seems to be in a good position to advance to the Tour Championship as he needs a solo 28th finish or better to have a chance to move on.

Adam Hadwin (Moose Jaw, Sask.)

Adam Hadwin

After shooting 4-over during Thursday's opening round, Adam Hadwin bounced back nicely on Friday with a 4-under round of 68 to pull Even for the tournament. Hadwin hit five birdies and just one bogey on his day. The 36-year-old still has some work to do if he wants to qualify for the Tour Championship as he needs to finish in a two-way tie for 18th or better to have a chance at moving on. Hadwin sat 28th in the standings at the completion of his round.

Taylor Pendrith (Richmond Hill, Ont.)

Taylor Pendrith

Taylor Pendrith had one of the best rounds of the day on Friday and it has him within striking distance heading into the weekend at the BMW Championship. The 33-year-old shot 7-under during the second round, just two strokes more than Adam Scott (13-under for the tournament), who shot 9-under. Pendrith, who entered the day at Even par, began his round with back-to-back birdies before recording his lone bogey on No. 3. Pendrith added birdies on holes six, eight, 11, 13, 15 and 17. Sitting 27th in the FedEx Cup standings, Pendrith was the lone Canadian in the top-30 coming into the BMW Championship and seems very likely to qualify for the Tour Championship if he can avoid a collapse over the final two rounds.
