Concordia keeps U Sports women's hockey repeat alive with win over Nipissing

MONTREAL — Five different Stingers scored for defending champion Concordia in a 5-1 quarterfinal win over Nipissing in the U Sports women's hockey championship Friday.
Third-seeded Concordia advances to Saturday's semifinal in Montreal to meet the No. 2 University of British Columbia, which was a 3-2 overtime winner over St. Francis Xavier University.
Sophia Gaskell scored twice, including the OT winner, and also had an assist for the victorious Thunderbirds.
Mount Royal meets host Montreal in Saturday's other semifinal.
The winners advance to Sunday's championship game.
