Canucks' Hoglander, Pettersson exit in loss to Rangers

Published

Vancouver Canucks top line forwards Nils Hoglander and Elias Pettersson left Saturday's 5-3 loss against the New York Rangers after two periods and did not return to action.

Pettersson showed visible discomfort after being waived out of the faceoff circle, and departed the game shortly after having played just 7:50.

The 26-year-old did not get on the score sheet before exiting.

Hoglander, like Pettersson, was not seen on the bench to start the third period. The team has not provided a reason for the 24-year-old's early exit.

There has been no update on the two forwards at this point.

Hoglander has six goals and 15 assists entering Saturday's game, while Pettersson has 15 goals and 30 assists across 63 games.
