WCT Recap: Menard, Robichaud win in NB
Even with the eyes of the curling world set on Brandon, MB where the Canada Cup was taking place, Quebec's Jean-Michel Menard and Sylvie Robichaud of New Brunswick were able to win the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic over the weekend.

WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic from Saint John, NB

Ten-time Quebec champion Jean-Michel Menard and his rink of third Martin Crete, second Eric Sylvain and lead Philippe Menard went a perfect 8-0 over the weekend in New Brunswick to win the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic.
Team Menard beat out Wayne Tallon in the quarter-final, Mike Kennedy in the semi-final and James Grattan in the championship game, 6-1.
It was their first event win of the season.

Thistle Integrity Stakes from Winnipeg, MB

Winnipeg's Team Trevor Loreth lost just once all week en route to a victory at the Thistle Integrity Stakes. They finished it off with a 6-3 win over Braden Calvert in the final.

Three-time New Brunswick champ Sylvie Robichaud won in her home province at the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic this weekend. Her Moncton rink of third Jessica Ronalds, second Nicole Bishop and lead Michelle Majeau didn't lose a game over the three day event.
They beat Heidi Hanlon in the semis and Christie Gamble in the final, 5-4.
