Young Thug may be returning with yet another new project. The Atlanta rapper took to Instagram to deliver a surprise when he shared an image of a new album cover, complete with an explicit content warning.

Set in a white background, the cover shows Thugger with his eyes closed, shirtless, and covered in blood along with the caption, "These past few weeks gave me so much to talk bout.. y’all ready??"

Many have speculated that the caption references the loss of LaKevia Jackson, who died in a shooting last month. Jackson was the mother of his 14-year-old son.

This announcement comes a little over six months since Thugger dropped his second studio album, Punk. The artwork of this cover bears similarities to the cover art of the other LPs in Thug’s Slime Season mixtape series, which all carry a dark theme and closed eyes, hinting that this new release could be Slime Season 4. It’s been over five years since the last installment.

More information on Young Thug’s newest project has yet to be released. Most recently, he was featured on Antonio Brown's latest album, Paradigm.
