Elks outlast Alouettes in overtime to snap Alexander’s unbeaten streak

Justin Rankin ran in a pair of touchdowns and quarterback Cody Fajardo carried in the winner himself as the Edmonton Elks stopped previously-unbeatable quarterback Davis Alexander, holding on to win their home opener 32-29 in overtime over the Montreal Alouettes on a rainy Saturday.


Four CFL quarterbacks threw for over 400 yards in regular-season games last week

Four quarterbacks surpassed 400 yards passing during CFL games last week. Chad Kelly of the Toronto Argonauts led the way with 445 yards, followed by Davis Alexander of the Montreal Alouettes (441 yards), Zach Collaros of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (421 yards) and Trevor Harris of the Saskatchewan Roughriders (417).
