Callaway’s new Rogue ST family of drivers, fairways, hybrids, and irons was launched on Jan. 4 with all products available in retail stores on Feb. 18. It’s a full upgrade from the Rogue line that came out in 2018 and proved to be exceptionally popular.
The new drivers in the Rogue ST line (ST for speed tuned) were designed using artificial intelligence (AI) and are said to be the company’s fastest and most stable.
Callaway has been designing its drivers using AI for the last three years, using it to optimize the construction. Each of the Rogue ST drivers features a new tungsten speed cartridge of up to 26 grams low and deep in the head for more stability that leads to increased speed. The result is lower spin and more forgiveness.
There is also the company’s Jailbreak technology, which is an internal chassis that gives stability and flexibility by connecting the crown and the sole. It’s been improved thanks to AI, as has the new face, which optimizes spin.
There are four different models available: the Rogue ST Max, which combines distance and forgiveness and will appeal to a wide range of players; the Rogue ST Max D, which helps players draw the ball more; the Rogue ST Max LS, which delivers lower spin for a more neutral ball flight; and Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS, a compact model with lower spin for better players.
The four different models mean players can be dialled in to a driver that will best suit their particular game rather than having to make concessions.
Callaway says the Rogue fairway woods are the fastest model the company has created, giving players up to 10 yards more distance thanks to the Batwing technology. A redesigned Jailbreak system (has been brought in to get speed and stability. There are three different models in the fairway woods.
The Rogue hybrids also utilize the new Jailbreak system as well as a tungsten speed cartridge. It comes in four different models for players of all abilities.
Finally, the Rogue irons have also been designed using artificial intelligence. They feature a high-strength steel head with a Flash Face cup for more ball speed and more consistent speed. There are four models, with each giving benefits to the player looking for game improvement.
