Clemons informs Seahawks he's retiring
Seattle Seahawks DE Chris Clemons informed the team he would be retiring Friday, according to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

On the day the Seattle Seahawks received some good news along their defensive line with pass rusher Michael Bennett showing up to training camp, they also lost a defensive end in Chris Clemons, who informed the team he would be retiring, according to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
The 34-year-old Clemons signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks in the off-season, returning to the team he played for from 2010-2013.
Clemons was in Jacksonville last year, where he recorded 14 tackles and three sacks.
The Georgia product finishes his career with 276 tackles and 69 sacks in 11 seasons, split between Washington, the Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Jaguars, and Seahawks.
