TSN Basketball Analyst Jack Armstrong returns with his five quick thoughts on the benefits of hosting a Game 7, a confident Ben Simmons and much more.

1. GAME NO. 7: Love it when you get to host a Game 7 at home. The Toronto Raptors are in that position now. I picked the Raptors in seven games and I’ll stick with that pick. The formula for victory is so similar when they’ve been excellent against the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers. Play with tremendous sustained intensity on defence, rebound the ball aggressively, win the turnover margin battle, run the ball every chance you get and you must make your open shots. Kawai Leonard has been sensational but it’s got to be everyone bringing their A game.

2. BEN SIMMONS (76ers): His best performance of the series was in Game 6 when he had 21 points, six assists and most importantly no turnovers. He played a mature, poised game and got to the rim aggressively. That’s not a good development for Toronto. He’ll be coming in with major confidence now for Game 7. You have to take that away from him early on Sunday.

3. TERRY ROZIER (Celtics): If you get a chance, take a look at the Boston point guard’s pointed comments about his team’s season and his role as well. He’s not a happy camper. After reading what he said, it’s pretty obvious why Boston underachieved. Basketball is a team sport and you can’t have individual agendas. Too many existed for the Celtics this postseason.

4. KEVIN DURANT (Warriors): Tough news hit the champs with his injury Thursday night. The Houston Rockets have life now. After missing Chris Paul late in their series against Golden State, they know all too well that you must capitalize on that opportunity of playing an opponent without their most dominant player. You have to seize the moment.

5. SCOTIABANK ARENA: Fully expect an insane, fired-up crowd going bonkers all game cheering on their Raptors both inside and outside the arena on Sunday. What a huge impact your home fans can make in huge games. The moment has arrived. The sixth man needs to show up like never before. Every little edge matters.
