Kings lock up Clifford with five-year deal
The Los Angeles Kings have locked up another young forward, signing Kyle Clifford to a five-year contract extension worth $8 million on Wednesday. The average annual value of the deal is $1.6 million per season. The news comes one day after the Kings signed Jordan Nolan to a three-year, $2.85 million extension.

Clifford, 24, has 25 goals and 33 assists along with 462 penalty minutes in 333 career NHL games with Los Angeles. He was the Kings' second round pick in 2009 and has been a part of both of L.A's Stanley Cup teams.
The native of Ayr, Ontario has added 14 points in 47 career playoff games.
