B.C. Lions quarterback Travis Lulay was back at practice Wednesday afternoon and practiced with the scout team, but got no reps with the first team offence.

Head coach Mike Benevides said that he was encouraged with what he saw from the 31-year-old and is working towards having Lulay in uniform for Sunday's Eastern Semi-Final against the Montreal Alouettes.

Lulay has been aiming for a late-season return after suffering a dislocated shoulder on Sep. 5 in a game against the Ottawa Redblacks and was placed back on the 46-man roster Monday. He was on the Lions' six-game injured list but chose to forgo surgery and instead rehabilitated his throwing shoulder.

Veteran pivot Kevin Glenn has shouldered most of the responsibility behind centre in Lulay's absence.

Another quarterback John Beck suffered a concussion in the last game of the season on a short yardage play and did not practice Wednesday. He is going through concussion protocol.

Cornerback Dante Marsh and defensive tackle Khalif Mitchell both got reps with the starters and are expected to remain on the active roster.

Adam Bighill, Khareem Smith, Alex Bazzie and Eric Taylor were also back on the field with the starters after all were absent from last week's game. Bighill will wear a brace in the game, but will not need a padded "club".
