As Johnny Manziel attempts a comeback to the NFL, he says another quarterback vying for a job this offseason, Colin Kaepernick, deserves to be in the league.

In a number of Twitter posts Saturday, Manziel showed support for Kaepernick's work, calling it "legendary and straight admirable," and said it isn't right for the media and fans to compare the two because Kaepernick is out of the league for non-football reasons.

The 30-year-old Kaepernick went unsigned last off-season after kneeling for the national anthem to protest racial inequality during the 2016 season, despite starting parts of five seasons for the San Francisco 49ers and leading them to the Super Bowl in 2012.
