Predators sign D Hamhuis to two-year deal
The Nashville Predators bolstered their blueline Wednesday, signing Dan Hamhuis to a two-year, $2.5 million contract. Hamhuis, 35, scored three goals and 21 assists over 80 games with the Dallas Stars in 2017-2018.

The Nashville Predators bolstered their blueline Wednesday, signing Dan Hamhuis to a two-year, $2.5 million contract.
Hamhuis, 35, scored three goals and 21 assists over 80 games with the Dallas Stars in 2017-2018. He will make $1.5 million in the first year of the deal and $1 million for the 2019-20 season.
He returns to Nashville, the team he was drafted by with the 12th overall pick in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and spent the first 483 games of his career with.
The B.C. native has played over 1,000 NHL games and another 62 playoff games – including a run for the Cup with the Vancouver Canucks in the 2011 Stanley Cup Final against the Boston Bruins.
Throughout his 14-year career, Hamhuis has netted 59 goals and 284 assists in 1,031 career games split between the Predators, Canucks and Stars.
Hamhuis is coming off a two-year, $7.5 million contract.
