Rangers, Hayes agree on one-year deal
Restricted free agent forward Kevin Hayes and the New York Rangers have agreed to terms on a one-year contract, the team announced on Monday. The two sides were scheduled to meet for an arbitration hearing on Thursday.

Restricted free agent forward Kevin Hayes and the New York Rangers have agreed to terms on a one-year contract, the team announced on Monday. The two sides were scheduled to meet for an arbitration hearing on Thursday.
Hayes’ deal is worth $5.125 million, according to Larry Brooks of the New York Post.
The 26-year-old scored a career-high 25 goal with the Rangers last season. He finished the campaign with 44 points.
Hayes has appeared in 310 games for the Rangers over his four-year career, and has 73 goals and 174 points in his career.
Originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the 2010 entry draft, Hayes signed with the Rangers as a free agent on Aug. 20, 2014.
