Hellyer's hat trick powers Rock past Wings

PHILADELPHIA — Rob Hellyer's third goal of the night was the winner as the Toronto Rock edged the Philadelphia Wings 13-12 on Saturday in National Lacrosse League action.
Dan Lintner and Adam Jones had three goals and two assists each for Toronto (5-1), while Hellyer added four assists. Tom Schreiber scored twice and set up four other goals, while Jay Thorimbert and Johnny Powless added singles.
Nick Rose made 40 saves for the win.
Kevin Crowley led Philadelphia (0-6) with four goals and six assists, while Kiel Matisz had a hat trick as part of a seven-point night. Matt Rambo struck twice as Blaze Riorden, Josh Currier and Vaughn Harris rounded out the attack.
Doug Buchan stopped 33 shots in net for the Wings.
The Rock were 2 for 3 on the power play and Philadelphia went 3 for 5 with the man advantage.
Hellyer's winner capped off a fourth quarter where Toronto outscored the Wings 7-2.
